How Trusting Your Intuition Can Improve Your Relationships: 3 key steps to take now

Parinaz Shams | Spiritual Mentor and Fitness Coach

I've always found Valentine's Day to be pretty...meh.

For years, I've dismissed it as cheesy and overdone. But today, surprisingly, I have a different sentiment.

This year, Valentine's Day has me reflecting on self-love and how learning to trust my intuition has improved my relationships, and even attracted the life partner I've always wanted.

Never would I have imagined that I would be in a relationship that brings me so much joy and fulfillment.

The younger version of myself would be astounded to see the level of connection, openness, and authenticity I share with my partner today.

The journey to this point has taught me valuable lessons about trust, boundaries, and self-love.

There are a few key steps I've taken in the direction of self-love and self-healing over the last 5 years that I can say definitively have helped improve my relationships and attracted the love I have today; a supportive and loving partner.

The 3 key steps of self-healing that have helped improve my relationships:

1.Trust Your Intuition

Learning to trust your intuition can lead you to unexpected joys in relationship because it gives you the courage to be open, authentic, and not hold back out of fear.

Despite past betrayals and struggles with trust, I learned to listen to my inner voice and found that it totally shifted how I showed up in existing relationships and on dates.

This shift allowed me to open up, set boundaries, and attract a relationship that supports my growth.

2. Find True Happiness Through Self-Trust:

True happiness in relationships starts with self-trust.

When you trust yourself, you're able to make decisions that align with your values and needs. This self-assurance radiates outward, attracting partners who appreciate and respect you for who you are.

By focusing on self-trust, you create a strong foundation for a healthy and fulfilling relationship.

3. Heal Your Inner Child:

Healing your inner child is essential for nurturing healthy relationships. Past wounds and traumas can manifest in current relationships, leading to unhealthy patterns and behaviors.

By addressing these wounds through inner child healing, you can break free from destructive cycles and create space for love and connection.

This journey of healing was crucial in setting boundaries and attracting healthier relationships.

Lessons Learned: My journey taught me that true happiness comes from within.

By trusting my intuition and healing my inner child, I've transformed my relationships and my life.

I'm now more open, connected, and true to myself than ever before.

How You Can Do It Too:

If you're struggling to trust your intuition or heal your inner child, know that you're not alone and know that there is support available to you.

One approach that has been transformative for me and many others is Somatic Healing Yoga, which involves getting into your nervous system to erase the memory of past pain that leads to trust issues.

This approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy by addressing the body's role in storing and releasing emotional pain.

I've been teaching Somatic Yoga inside my programs for years, and it has helped people, like it helped me, release their inner doubts, fears, and past betrayals.

The reason Somatic Yoga is so powerful is because it accesses the body's innate wisdom and ability to heal. This is how it goes beyond traditional therapy approaches and actually leads to a shifted perspective.

If you're interested in learning more about how Somatic Yoga helps you remove the energetic memory of past pain from your Nervous System so you can finally feel free.

Seeking guidance and a spiritual perspective can also be incredibly beneficial.

Inside my community, I offer teachings and practices that help individuals connect with their inner voice and intuition.

These practices can provide clarity and guidance as you navigate your healing journey.

Third, nurturing your inner child involves allowing yourself to be playful, imaginative, and creative in life.

This approach is key to empowering your inner child, who can guide you to be more open, expressive, and receptive in your relationships.

While it may sound simple or even silly to be more childlike in adult relationships, it's actually a powerful way to reconnect with your true essence.

As children, we are naturally curious, open-hearted, and unburdened by the stresses and traumas of adult life. By embracing these childlike qualities, you can access a sense of freedom and joy that can be transformative in your relationships.

When you allow yourself to be playful, imaginative, and creative, you tap into a deeper part of yourself that is unencumbered by past pain or societal expectations.

This reconnection with your inner child can bring a sense of lightness and spontaneity to your relationships, allowing you to express yourself more authentically and connect more deeply with others.

In Summary, remember that healing is a journey, and it's okay to seek support along the way.

Trust in your intuition, and know that you have the power to transform your relationships and your life.

This Valentine's Day, take a moment to reflect on your journey. Reflect on how far you've come, not just how much you feel you still have to go.

You are healing and growing every day, step by step.

Even by reading this blog, you are allowing yourself to arrange a new mindset toward relationships, love, and self-love. That's a big deal. Cheers to you.

Warmly,

Parinaz
